Anyway, here is the cake & cupcakes I did for Randall's open house for Christmas :)

The 2 tier cake which gave me a huge headache... although i was fun to watch the kids and adults go "ooohhh" and "ahhhhhhh" when they saw it & when they were told everything was edible. It was a 6inch fruit cake with rum and a 10inch bailey's sugee almond cake.

The matching cupcakes! Made 70 to 80 of these babies if im not mistaken... and all were finished in less than an hour :P

Made a cake recently from my first ever customer, Tiffany Tan. Last year at one go she ordered 2 sets of cupcakes and a cake. This year she came back again for a mahjong cake for her bf's mum, Susan of Pet N You, where I take brandy for training. Such a small world huh?? :P

Chocolate Chip Cookies. The old fashioned chocolate chip cookies. Great for the sweet tooth of yours and yummy when eaten alone or dipped into a glass of milk! :)

The cookies are ranged from RM15 to RM19 per container.

The cookies are sold in the same sized container and only one size is available.

Place orders asap as I will not take in anymore once the quota is reached!

You will need to give me at least 3-4days to bake the cookies after placing your order, as everything are made to order, not ready made to maintain its freshness.

Self pick up is at Caltex Petrol Station, opposite of Sunway Pyramid. If you need me to deliver, delivery charges apply depending on location.

December's Corporate Orders

I've been missing in action for a LONG time & I apologise for that :P I've been kinda busy so... no postings on my blog. So here's some stuff I did for Christmas & the month of December 2009.

My first corporate order was from L'Oreal!!! They have this thing called Christmas Connect, & since it's Christmas, they gave away a goodie bag which consist of Toberlone choc, a candy cane, and my gingerbread cookie :) 200 pieces of these babies nearly made me faint.

Made 3 different designs :) Ppl liked the socks the best according to Liang Wei who ordered haha

All gingerbread cookies are individually sealed in a plastic bag tied with a ribbon

A few days after delivering the cookies, L'Oreal called again, this time it was from Kiehl's, a new brand under L'Oreal. They wanted 500 cookies with the brand's "K" on the cookies. They were for their Kiehl's counter in Sogo, to distribute to the crowd in conjunction with Christmas :) I had little elves to help me out (Randall, Lucas & Wyzek, Mum & Dad). Thank you to all 5 of u, without u guys I won't be able to finish them on time :)

Here's a cake I did for my cousin who's a medical representative. She wanted a cake for her customer who's a doc, a gynae to be exact! This cake i rather cute, take a look!

One of my high school friend got married few weeks back with her long time sweet heart :) I was happy that she came to me for her wedding cake, my first ever wedding cake!! :D

It was a champange coloured cake which was the colour of her dress, with sugar made white cymbidium orchids and small pink orchids, the colour of her deco. There were also gold painted motives on the cake to make it less plain.

Firstly, I would like to apologise for the lack of posts for the month of September! It has been a busy-crazy-mooncake-baking frenzy in my kitchen. So, thank you as well to those of you who have showed your support & purchased my mooncakes!! :)

Jasmine's friend turned 21 two weeks back and asked for a cake for her friend's party. She told me he likes girls & cars. Wanted to do a car cake, but in the end, we decided to make a woman's torso in a corset ;)

Sculpting the cake was time consuming, but nevertheless it turned out looking great! Take a look.

My 1st 2-tiered Birthday Cake!!!

This was ordered by Ing Ay last weekend for her bro's 21st bday :) According to her, he likes dogs alot, so it was decided that the cake would be of a doggie theme!! I suggested to her that i will make 21 dogs to be place all around the cake to signify his age. Other than that, the doggies will be wearing party hats & will pose differently. It was for a party of 50 ppl! :D As a doggie lover, i searched the net and decided to make different breed of dogs, as many as i could handle :)

And only a few days before the delivery date, i was told that the cake will be travelling back to Port Dickson for the party O_0 At that moment i was kinda worried the cake may topple of some of the deco may get destroyed in the journey... But, it's another achievement cos this is the furthest my creation has travelled so far & nothing happened to the cake thank goodness.. hehe

I made the cake in a bright yellow colour for a more cheerful overall look and so that the dogs will stand out :)

The breed of dogs on the cakes were JRT, west highland terrier, min pin, dashound, huskie, poodle, schnauzer, dalmation! :) hehehe

I have never kneaded so much icing in my life... a total of 2.5kgs of fondant..... to turn white fondant into bright yellow wasnt easy.. lol

The bottom was a 10 inch round sugee almond with bailey's cake while the 6 inch was a chocolate cake with choc forsting. I finished the cakes at 6am on the day of the delivery. Nevertheless, im very happy with how it turned out :) Hope the bday boy liked it was well.

Another quite last min cake! lol Im not complaining! I am happy that my business is slowly picking up :) sometimes it can really get out of hand, but i will somehow manage to pull through.

This cake was ordered by Chloe, for her cousin sis's birthday. She was very specific with wat she wanted, a cake which is a stage, with a girl, holding a throphy with a sash. & she also wanted 2 hand painted logos. The Allianz logo together with the MDRT logo.

The birthday girl works for Allianz, & i think she's one of the winners for the MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) award, so Chloe wanted the cake to signify that :)

This cake was done quite long ago, a very last min order by my cousin, managed to squeeze in his order -_- Was very rushing & hectic, but heck, i love decorating :P He didn't say much about the person who's receiving the cake, & he just wanted something sweet & cute since it was for a girl. A banana cake with coffee buttercream under the deco. I actually wanted to do roses & some simple design for this cake, but cakes done by me wont be complete without any figure modeling! So i made 2 bears, and a present :)

These are a few sets of cupcakes i made recently, the sets were ordered from Nancy, Sallie, Hasnah & Rebecca.

Nancy was very supportive when i told her i stopped working & is doing my business now full time. She told me her daughter's birthday is coming up so she ordered a set for her. She left the deco up to me, so i came up with a Winter theme!! :) Ploar bears, eskimos, igloos, & seals!!!

Sallie wanted a set of cupcakes for her friend's daughter, no special occasion, just wanted to make her happy :) She requested for 3D modelling, my specialty especially when it comes to animals! :P i love making animals. So i came up with a garden/picnic theme, where animals are seen on the cucpakes, with bees on flowers, & some of them having a picnic! lol

I love the frog the most in this set :) :) :)

Another set of cupcakes was for Hasnah, who ordered for her husband's 60th birthday. She told me he likes the sea. Wanted to make the cupcakes just based on designs from under the sea, but didnt want to. Came up with a better idea, i made the cupcakes from the beach & slowly decending down to the bottom of the sea. I used different shades of blue showing the deepnest of the ocean :) Since it was for a 60 yr old, i didnt want to make the cupcakes too cute looking :P This set of cupcakes was more matured & subtle.

Another set of chocolate cupcakes with choc frosting ;) Many customers order chocolate for their cakes & cupcakes, the fav i would say!

Another set were ordered by Rebecca for her colleage mates' farewell, as some of them are leaving for Aussie for their final year studies. She said they mainly study & party, so i made half of the cupcakes all on books & studying materials, while the other half were beers & cocktails.

Steamboat Cake

Li Quan, an old school mate of mine came to me 2 weeks back, asking for a special cake for her bf's birthday. She told me somethings about him, & told me that he really like to eat steamboat! That sparked off something, & i suggested that i can make the steamboat pot, with all the steamboat ingredients :P So take a look at the outcome.

LOL!!! Wat do u think?? looks pretty realistic rite?? :P I managed to con my frens by showing them this pic, they really thought they were real...

I am a steamboat lover too, that's y i have the different types of fishball images in my head, & made it much easier for me to do each piece of deco :) All the fishballs are hand-made. No moulds or what-so-ever.

It was a choc cake with choc frosting under the deco. Feedback was good, the bf loved the cake, & her family were amazed to see such a cake, & they didnt wanna wat it cos it was too realistic :) She also said that the cake was yummy, but the icing was a tad sweet. I'll reduce sugar from now on!

Groovy cupcakes

This was an order from Mun Yee from PetNYou. The cupcakes made their way to Mid Valley on the 5th of July to the Pet World Malaysia 2009 exibition :)

Agility & Obedience competition were on that day, & my instructor was participating in some of the events & i must say they both excel in agility, they won but im not sure wat placing cos i went home early, as i was not feeling too good :(

Fawn, the bday boy really like dogs & agility. So i combined both & made the cupcakes based on the 2 themes. She asked for a specific amount of cupcakes to be all in one box & that signified his age :)

The cupcakes were choc & butter flavour. 16 cupcakes were the main deco, the rest were simple designs. I made half with a bone & dog food, & the other half with grass, & some flowers with butterflies. The reason i did that was becos agility is a sport which is always done outdoors on a field hence the grass & butterflies :) I made groovy, his beloved K9 companion, & some doggie toys & food & bed!, & some agility equipments (tunnel, the weave poles, the jump & tyre).

The Groovy cupcakes all in one big big box, the box measured 17" by 14" :P Silly me, I was rushing to send the cupcakes, cos i only finished them at 5pm when i was suppose to send them to MidValley at 630pm so i didnt take any decent pics.. should have took pics without the empty cupcakes containers, i put them there to preven the cupcakes from sliding -_-

The four dogs i made was actually his JRT named Groovy. Which is why i named this set of cupcakes, Groovy cupcakes! :)

Other than that, since the cupcakes numbers were rather odd, she asked me to seperately make & keep 7 cupcakes for her to bring home & she didnt mind with any design. So i made these for her :)

You Will Never Walk Alone

My first ever football themed cake :P Was a liverpool cake, not Man Utd, a disappointment to many.. lol!!!

It was an order from my buddy Miss Selina Chew for her daddy dearest, who happens to be a huge liverpool fan. First it was suppose to be cupcakes, but she changed her mind, & wanted a cake. She is a very sweet daughter, cos she's not even in Msia cos she's studying abroad, but made sure her dad gets something special for his bday this year :)

It was a fruit cake heavily infused with rum, when i say heavy.. i meant it! :P Her dad took a bite & said he was dizzy after that.. lol!!!

One of the most challenging part in making the cake was the logo........ many ppl would either get something called an edible photo, where the logo would be printed on this piece of edible sheet, & paste it on the cake. Some will not even put the logo in, would just pipe the wording of the club on the cake.. I wanted it to look special & of course realistic, so i took a risk & tred hand painting it. Although it took me more than an hour to complete only the logo, i was happy with how it turned out. The phoenix/bird was the hardest to paint... i left that the last, cos i was worried that i may ruin the logo & i would have to start all over. thank goodness that didnt happened! :P

The full view, it was the anfield stadium (liverpool's stadium) with a football (also took me one hour to complete.. -_-) & jersey. the cake board was dyed to be grass green with the grassy texture

Some other personal touches done to the cake was the number on the jersey, 58 was her dad's age, & jeffrey was his english name :)

She told me her dad was very excited & happy to receive the cake that he took many pics of it, mostly on the logo :P & the first thing he ate was his jersey! lol

Im happy to be able to make his bday this year a memorable one :)

Pilot in the Jacuzzi

This cake was made for Wyzek, my fellow bowling buddy & also team mate. I recently bought a book on decorative cakes, & the content of the book were mostly adult themes. He asked me when was i making one.. hahah & he got one for his bday 2 weeks after :P

The guy in the jacuzzi is him (a pilot, as he has his cap) with 2 chicks chilling with some booze & others things :) Added tiles & steps on the cake to make it look more realistic. Other than that, i added the towel, sandals, beer bottles, spilled beer & the cutest... a rubber duckie!!!!

Also added some effect to make it look "wet". As u can see, wyzek's & the 2 chicks r all wet.. the tiles as well! :P Really having a lot of fun there.. lol

We decided to cut the cake after bowling, in A&W of all places... it was the school holiday week on a fri nite, so it was packed!! Packed with families.......... -_- hahaha ppl were looking at us.. & at the obscene cake :P It was fun tho. Happy Birthday once again :D

A cake for evelyn's bf's bday :) Everything on the cake were hand made. It was a real challenge cos she wanted the soft toys to look like those she had, so i followed precisely which includes the garments on them. I think the soft toys were all given to her by her bf, so on his bday she requested that i had all of them made & to be put onto his bday cake. Other than the toys, she wanted a yellow pillow, a car, a house & the msg "I Love You" to be on the cake. Everything on the cake represented them. So sweet!

I managed all the figures, but had a hard time coming up with where & how to put the I Love You on the cake.. but at last, thought of a very cute idea :) Made a clothes string & the cloth on the string, & had the msg on the cloth, like they were drying the piece of cloth :) :) i loved that piece of deco the most!!

Thousand apologies... I have been neglecting this blog i know -_- I really had no time for myself, no time to bake & cannot find time to update this blog :( Here is a quick update, a cake i baked over the weekend :) As u can see it's for a hello kitty fanatic!!! lol

I surprised myself with the outcome as well :) Very pleased with how the cake turned out hehe i liked the hello kitty figure model as well! so cute.. but a bit chubby.

the bf commented & said that my hello kitty looked like a hello kitty after 10 yrs... after she gained weight.. ()_*&^%^&4789^%^ so lebih!!!

The bday girl loved the cake alot, & didn't want to cut it.. so she got another person to do it, cos cutting it seems like she's killing hello kitty :P lol

A Cake for CNY 2009

This was done for my CNY open house this year. I was cracking my head for the deco, at last i came up with the idea of oxes with the regular CNY things, firecrackers, gold nuggets and mandarin oranges :P This was the result:-

Everything on the cake were hand made from sugarpaste :) This was the first cake i decorate using fondant every since i learnt cake decoration from MIB. I was really happy with how it turned out :)

A Hawaiian Theme Birthday

This was an order from Ai Lin in January for a small get together for her friend's 24th birthday, & the theme was "Hawaiian". Here's the cake.

A 6" & 8" baked cheese cake under all the decorations. Cakes were decorated with buttercream. The blue borders on the cakes were suppose to be waves, but didn't really look like waves... -_-

The hula girl's skirt was hand made, all from sugar paste :)

Home Made Ice Cream

Ice cream... Cooling yummy delight on a hot sunny day :) A sweet indulgence to satisfy the sweet tooth in each & everyone of us

I made a 3 litres worth of ice cream just yesterday... The flavour i made was Rum and Raisin. Yes, there's alcohol in my ice cream, & i must say the flavour is really intense :D The difficult thing in making ice cream is to make sure the texture is smooth and creamy, not icy like the ice kacang type.. My ice cream is made without the ice cream machine like other home made ice creams. And no raw egg yolks are added into my ice cream..

If u don't know why i don't use raw eggs in any of my recipe, it's because raw eggs may contain a bacteria called salmonella which can cause blindness and even more severe, death. So my advice is to substitute any raw eggs in the recipe. Or better yet, find one which does not have any raw eggs in them!! If u insist in using raw eggs, buy pasturised eggs. These eggs are available in Jaya Jusco.

Anywayz back to my ice cream :)

Boobie Cake

haha!! It was for Bryan's 23rd birthday last year :) He was pleased with the cake, but not really pleased when he was suppose to "pose" with the cake in Jarrod & Rawlin's with other restaurant goers looking at him. Good times, & really enjoyed the meal, which was on Bryan :P

Rabbit, tv & baking theme cupcakes (cuteness level: 100%!!)

This was also ordered from Tiffany, this set of cupcakes were for her aunt who's born in the year of the rabbit, & she has 2hobbies; baking & watching tv :P The initial plan was to have a cake with laces, & a 3D fondant rabbit in an apron holding a cake to represent her. But some canges in plan lead to this set of cupcakes.

I really really love the cupcakes...... i didnt want to deliver them & keep them for myself instead..so i got my dad to deliver them instead -_- I would say this is the best cupcake set i've done so far. I shall give myself a pat in the back...*pat pat* lol dem shiok sendiri :P Forgive me la, this is what happens when u spent nearly 10hours in the kitchen decorating cakes & cupcakes LOL

I applied some blusher for the rabbits to make them extra cute & look more realistic :D Since the original cake is supposed to have laces, i tried my best to put some on the cupcakes as well, notice the white piece of cloth thingy underneath the tv & the cake? it's suppose to be a small piece of lacey cloth, it didnt turn out really good :( So i decided to frill the sugarpaste of the wordings. Turned out looking like real cloth :) im happy!

The pinkish hue u can see on the frills of the wordings are also edible dusting powder, which i dusted on them to bring the frills out. Earlier when it was all white, u can't really see the frills. & instead of piping the happy birthday with buttercream, i took a risk & tried painting the words with edible food colouring instead :)

I just adore the mittens!! they have the lines on them like the real one :) If they were my size i would have used them :P

It's been a fruitful & satisfying week for me. When u r doing something u really like, u will put your 100% into it. Since cake deco is my passion, u will never understand how happy & contented i feel when the decorated pieces turned out looking really good, & also the reactions ppl get when they see your work :) The feeling is just priceless.

A Badminton Cake

Another order from Tiffany, for her uncle who loves badminton. It was a 6' round butter cake beneath all the decoration. The net was a real challenge, the small tiny square holes were cut one by one! Due to my butter fingers, it nearly tore when i wanted to stick it onto the cake..... luckily it didn't if not i would have spent another extra 30 minutes doing it all over again!

I was rather stressed out few days ago when i had to model the shuttlecock into a 3D piece. Piping it out with buttercream would be easy, but it doesn't look good. Since my dad plays badminton as well, i took out a shuttlecock & studied it trying to get every detail. U know how the shuttlecock's feathers look like? With the lines & all, i managed do it on the sugarpaste shuttlecock :)

Just got the hang of painting messages on the cakes with edible food colouring instead of piping. It looks much nicer & different compared to the conventional way of piping with a piping bag or cutting out each letters with cutters :)

Doggie Theme Cupcakes

Susan is the manager of Pet&You (my dog's training school) and she just adores dogs. She has 5 doggies at home! It was her birthday on the 4th of March. Here are her cupcakes.

She has 2 Shih tzus, 2 Schnauzers and 1 Jack Russell Terrier. I transfered the respective dogs onto the cupcakes, together with their respective colours & names ;)

The human faces represent Susan's family members who bought her the cupcakes.

I personally like the schnauzer & the JRT the best! hehehe I had a blast doing these set of cupcakes.
